Christmas is just around the corner and while I love creating things to make people happy it's a time full of stress, doubt, panic and exhaustion when you hand make every single thing.....
" Do I have enough stock?" ....." What if I don't sell ? ..." What if I sell loads and only have a week to remake as much as I can before my next Christmas fair??!!!" 😱😱😱 and when will I actually get around to putting my own Christmas tree up 🤷‍♀️.
I know every creator of handmade items is dealing with exactly the same thoughts at the moment...so if you can, buy local, buy handmade, support creators, makers and artist and buy your friends and family something that has taken skill, talent ,love and hours to make this Christmas 🎄

An exciting find in the garden today !!! After the heavy snows here last week it looks like a wild haggis has come down off the hill looking for food! Must have smelt the lovely silage the sheep are tucking into next to the house. Not sure if it's a Highland or a Cairn Gorm Braw Haggis. If anyone can confirm the subspecies that would be great !! Suspect it's a Cairn Gorm as I'm in the North of the Cairngorms National Park. @haggisanimal can you help with identification please?🙏

NEOS Day 8. I can't believe we only have 2 days left of our Open Studio ! It's been a productive week so far. I've made 5 hares and these 2 brooches. Amy has been very creative working on 2 of her beautiful landscapes , making a flower press and possibly making some paper today ...very exciting!!
On my way home yesterday I found a beautiful hare struggling on my track ...I gathered her up and have made her comfortable and safe for the night.

Also known as "The Friendly Games" and for good reason! Come out for the day, visit one of Scotland's longest running Highland Games, in the highest village in the Highlands. You'll be sure of a warm welcome!
